Two Private Days with Annie at her UK Studio: Hands-on, In-person, Custom Crystalline Training & Experience
Work alongside me, one-on-one, for two consecutive days (midweek or on a weekend) from 10am to 5pm (with tea,, coffees and lunch breaks). We can go over any aspect of crystalline glazing and firings, from measuring, mixing and applying the glaze through to loading and even programming the kiln if that’s what you need.
Our two days together can be customised to suit your experience level. Whether you are a true beginner in crystalline glazing and want to start with the basics, or you have been firing crystalline glazes for years—I can help you reach your next level.
We will work at your pace and because it will be just you and me, you will gain real hands-on experience to take back to your studio, rather than just a lot of theory, lectures and pictures of PowerPoint slides.
We can also start where ever is best for you. If that’s measuring out, mixing and applying crystalline glazes or working on any of the other aspects and processes of crystalline glazes. I’ll teach you as much as we can fit into the two days. It will be like your own personal, hands-on custom training. We can even talk about how to alter glaze recipes, if that’s what you need. And of course go over the tiny but critical things that make all the difference in your crystalline results.
These days will be geared to suit you.
All materials and food will be included. Bring your own bisque pieces for glazing, apron and any tools you prefer using when throwing. If you have special dietary restrictions, you may prefer bringing your own packed lunch. Oat milk and cow’s milk will be available along with teas and coffees (decaf, herbal and regular).
If you would prefer sharing this two day experience with a friend or fellow potter, I have a semi-private option in my store.
PLEASE NOTE: We will not be doing a crystalline firing in these two days. However, I can fire your glazed pieces for a small supplement per piece, plus postage and packaging. Otherwise, you are welcome to take them back to your studios to fire. We need a minimum of three days to do a crystalline firing and for the kiln to cool.
